My maturity and time as a student teacher has grown tremendously over the past 3 years as I have been producing high standard of work in both theory and practice in University and in placement experiences. Name: Jessica Khouri
Contact: jlkhouri@yahoo.com
Introductory:
I have a passion for working with children – seeing them develop and grow academically, socially and emotionally. I work hard to provide a caring, positive and supportive learning environment where children can engage in child-centered programmes. I believe the core subjects of literacy and numeracy are the building blocks for learning, creating a pathway for learning in other areas of the curriculum. I am convinced that helping children understand that they can make a positive difference to their own futures by applying learned skills in everyday situations is an important part of their education.
I am confident, hard working, a team player and enjoy working cooperatively with colleagues. An organized and methodical person who pays attention to detail, I am certain that effective communication is vital between teachers and parents.
The relationships I build with your students and colleagues are vital in my teaching practice. This is aided by my excellent communication skills, knowledge and warm, caring manner.
Strategic goal setting is important in teaching and in life; I make it a priority to set short and long-term goals in order to achieve specific objectives in my own teaching practices and for the students in their academic process. This philosophy is integrated into my approach to teaching. I consider myself a highly reflective practitioner, naturally introspective and I think deeply on your own teaching practices.
I am always careful to be on time for appointments and meet deadlines, and take great pride in being honest, responsible, reliable and loyal.
My teaching qualification, personal qualities and traditional work ethic in combination with my empathetic nature make me a valuable asset to any school.

Name: Sim Yang
Region: Auckland
Subjects: MA in Language Teaching and Learning.
Age group: High School or all secondary levels to year 13.
Introductory: Kia Ora, I am a Master of Teaching (Secondary) graduate from the University of Auckland, in the process of teacher registration. I am so passionate about relief teaching that I am writing with unbelievable pleasure.
I have strong communicative skills and see teachers as family, being influenced by parents who were language teachers for over forty years.
My academic background in the three Master’s programs at Auckland University has given me an edge to understand my students from theoretical perspectives (MA in Language Teaching and Learning), in practice (MTeach (Secondary) & CELTA) and to teach student-centered lessons with clear end-goals in mind (MPS in translation, where I took myself as an ESOL learner to think from the learner’s perspective). Apart from teaching as a pre-service teacher at Onehunga High School, Western Springs College and Carmel College, I also have work experience at Unitec as a part-time lecturer teaching Mandarin classes. Therefore, I believe that my teaching background in ESOL and Mandarin and the ability to develop strategic learning programs to facilitate second language acquisition for students across age groups and cultures (I set up my own English training center in China from 2015-2018) has prepared me to make significant contributions to relief teaching across subjects.
As for my educational philosophy, I believe the end goal of teaching is to produce independent and self-regulated learners. I am a quick learner myself and a strong supporter of life-long learning. In addition, my Teaching as Inquiry studies during teaching practicum led me to a finding about a desirable way for ongoing development of effective teaching strategies for different classes. The finding suggests that desirable strategies or learning support in this case can be formulated through integrating the thinking about the Student Engagement Core (Bundick, et al, 2014) with culturally responsive pedagogy (CRP) (Gay, 2010) and an inclusive framework (Florian, & Black-Hawkins, 2011). Besides, I am fully cognizant that no teachers or supportive strategies are perfect so I am very willing to study new things necessary for relief teaching.
I believe my unique teaching and tutoring experiences in New Zealand and China, combined with my growing knowledge and practice of the New Zealand Curriculum (NZC) would greatly benefit your educational program. Besides, my hobby as a amateur keyboard/piano player will also add fun to our students’ co-curricular life. In short, music can be used as a tool to facilitate study while having fun, e.g. when learning content is in the lyrics.
Educational referees are listed in my CV. A picture gallery about my teaching activities is also included in my CV. I am available anytime now and can be reached on 027-6189177. Thank you so much for your time. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards
Sim Yang

Hi there,
My name is Chris Warren and I have just relocated from Manchester UK to Hamilton City, Waikato. My most recent role was as a deputy head at a large primary school in South Manchester, UK. My family have relocated as my wife was offered a consultants job at Waikato DHB, I have therefore taken on the childcare responsibilities. I am available Monday to Thursday from 8:30 to 3:00pm in and around Hamilton, Waikato I have 15 years experience in Primary Education (11 years classroom experience and 4 years of non-teaching leadership experience). I am registered with the New Zealand Education Council.
Over the years, I have had wonderful feedback from families for the hard work and effort I have given to their children. I never give up on any child, I have high expectations for effort and determination amongst my class.
I have an outstanding record of teaching. I have been observed teaching many times by line managers, OfSTED Inspectors and Governors- all of which have shown my lessons to be engaging, purposeful and ensuring children progress.
The data from the children I teach shows that the majority of children make better than expected progress in all subjects. I believe this stems from firstly giving them high quality teaching daily but also adopting a mentoring approach where children feel valued and understood by those working with them.
I can provide you with a detailed CV on request and am also happy to visit your school beforehand, just drop me a quick email for my contact number.
Kind Regards
Chris

Hi there,
My name is Caitlin and I am newly qualified in Secondary teaching. I have a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Sport and Exercise also. I love working with people and thrive in situations where I am able to do so. I chose to follow this career path because I am really interested in health and exercise and I am really good with young people and I want to be able to teach the youth of today about the importance of looking after yourself physically and mentally, while creating positive relationships along the way.
I am looking forward to 2014 and being amongst other people who share the same passion.
Regards
Caitlin
